James Blunt debuted in the field of singing with his album Back to Bedlam. His single releases, particularly the chart buster â śYouâ ™re Beautifulâ ť won him much of the fame and fortune that he still enjoys, in year 2005. Blunt is a versatile singer with a blend of pop, acoustic rock, folk in his singing. He is equally good in playing some musical instruments such as the piano, marimba, mellotron, guitar and organ.
Son of Jane Blount and Charles James, James was born on February 22, 1974 in Wiltshire, Englandâ ™s Tidworth town. He did his schooling from Woolhamptonâ ™s Elstree School and then went to Bristol University. He completed his graduation from Royal Military-Academy Sandhurst. Mr Charles, father of James Blunt, was a Col. in the Brit. Army Air Corps. After passing out from the Academy, Blunt joined the regiment of Life Guards as a commissioned officer. Later he was promoted and became a Captain. Soon after quitting the army job he signed as a songwriter/singer with EMI Music Publishing. On December 5 this year, Blunt gave a stunning performance during the Live Show of Radio 2 Music Club. The show was held at indigO2 in London.
